This blog is much appreciated! The Christmas Gala was an enjoyable performance to offer, and I thank all those that supported me by coming and offering a monetary donation for my mission trip to Africa. (The expenses were around $4,000, and the donations of the West Point community totaled about $1,000. Thank you so much for making this mission trip possible for me!!!) Almost two years later, and I have just returned from an incredible adventure in Uganda, Africa. My brother Sam and I stayed there for three weeks with native Ugandan priest, (and visitor to West Point!) Father Francis Ssengendo. We were hosted by a Catholic formation boarding school, and we spent the three weeks making relationships and sharing God's love, learning about the Ugandan culture and sharing ours, living with the beautiful people there, playing and studying with the children, eating their food, playing music, dancing! learning their language, seeing some of the country, and visiting the elderly. I want to extend my sincerest thanks to the West Point Community Theatre and the citizens of West Point for blessing our lives and making this venture a possibility. We hope to perform again in West Point in the future! To God be all the glory!
The above post is from Anna Kirwan. Thanks!
