WPCT Float Wins Frist Prize at Cuming County Fair!
The West Point Community Theatre was awarded first prize in the 2010 Cuming County Fair for best theme float. This year’s theme was, “Yesterday’s Memories, Tomorrow’s Dreams.” Read the full story at the West Point News.

Tryouts Dates for Fall Production
Tryouts for the West Point Community Theatre's Fall comedy will be Tuesday, August 17 and Wednesday, August 18 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. on-stage at the Theatre.
Director for this production is Brandee Johnson with Jerry Hugo as Assistant Director.
We will present "Charley's Aunt" - a British comedy in three acts. 6 men and 4 women will be cast for the performance. Additional support members will be needed for set design and construction, costuming, advertising, work the performances, etc.
The play will be performed on:
Friday, November 5 at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, November 6 at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m.
Friday, November 12 at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday November 13 at 7:30 p.m.

July Update
It's been a while since we've updated you on what's happening at the theatre. Be assured, we've been quite busy any many exciting things are happening!
Our landscaping project is nearing completion. Nearly all of the planting are in and the entire area has been freshly sodded. Initial bandstand drawings are complete and we hope that construction will begin in the coming months.
Next week, we will begin the renovation of the concession stand. We will be having a demolition and clean up night at the theatre on Tuesday, July 27 at 5:30 p.m. We will start demolition of the concession stand. We will also have clean up outside around the building to spruce it up for the fair. We would appreciate all the help we can get.
If you want to have a full update on what's going on at the theatre, we encourage you to attend the bi-monthly general meeting of the Community Theatre, which will be held Wednesday, July 28 at 7:00 p.m.
Our children's acting workshop was a complete success! Both sessions were completely full. The kids worked very hard and put on an excellent performance last night.
Our summer melodrama, "I Only Have Fangs for You" was also quite successful and will debut once again during the Cuming County Fair August 14 & 15.
Plans are being made for our fall production, "Charlie's Aunt." Stay tuned for production details and tryouts.
Again, we certainly appreciate all of your support. We have some of the most dedicated patrons we could ever ask for. Again, thank you!

(kitchen area).
We need 3 men, 3 women and possibly some non speaking extras.
The melodrama "I Only Have Fangs for You” will be presented Fri, Sat.,
Sun., July 2, 3, 4.... and Sat, and Sun, during the Cuming County Fair Aug. 14, 15 (times to be decided).
